This seems one of the most extensively mistranslated lines in the DDJ. I can not guess what some words refer to or why they are inserted.

'benefit' (W1, WC, C1, DC). W1 also uses 'benefit' for 'lì 利' and 'yì° 益', WC for 'lì', DC for 'lì', 'yì°', 'zài¹ 在', even 'wéi 爲'. This is C1's only use of 'benefit'. W1 and DC seem to be using 'benefit' in place of 'de', but WC has both. This is similar to JL's use of 'good influences', and L1's 'merit'. It makes me wonder if this is their rendition of 'güi', and are substiting 'gùi 貴' for 'güi'. But this is the common 'returns' or 'goes back; only AL, RH, DH, CM, DL, WW show this meaning. restores (LY), refreshes (FE) seems closer to 'gui' than 'jiao', but unknown. back and forth (EC) for 'gui'? And what is the intention of '[without impediment]'? accrues (VM, PI, DC), accumulated (WC), but PI also has 'gathered' and DC 'jointly'.
