'mouth' is a limiting interpretation, besides being an unneccessary repetition. JL, WO, PC, and DL use 'mouth' for 'kôu 口'; however, WC, FE, and JS do not.
'openings' admits of an ambiguity wiith 'open'. L1, VM, AH, and PI have 'käi 開' (10:09, 27:05) for 'open'; RP: 'kùang 曠' (15:16), 'käi' (27:05), 'zhù 注' (49:17), 'chún chún 醇 醇' (58:02).
'door': this may be a misalignment of CM, since he has 'men' for 'doors' in 52:09.
Besides offering the unique interpolation of 'heart' in these passages, VM presents curious diversity. Why does one's heart have 'orifices' (an ugly word) when you 'stopple' (a weird word) them, but when you open them, they become a 'gate'? This is in Chapter 52, but in Chapter 56 they become the 'openings' of the heart. For 'gate' he also has 'mén 門' (01:16, 06:03, 10:09), though contrarily uses 'door' for 'men' in 52:09 and 56:04 and 'hù 戶' for 'door' (11:09, 47:01), as does CM.
