Chapter 41

The highest scholar hears the Way
And diligently practices it
The mediocre scholar hears the Way
Sometimes stores it sometimes loses it
The lowest scholar hears the Way
And laughs at it greatly
If he didn't laugh 
It wouldn't be the Way
So 
The well-founded sayings have it
Bright Way seems dark
Forward Way seems backward
Smooth Way seems rough
Highest Virtue seems a valley
Great white seems dirty
Generous Virtue seems not enough
Firm Virtue seems unsteady
Solid reality seems changeable
Great square is without corners
Great vessel is finished last
Great music is bare sound
Great sign is without shape
The Way is hidden nameless
Which is why the Way
Is good at giving and fulfilling
