Chapter 57

By righteousness you rule the country
By deceit you use weapons
By not working you control the World
How do I know this is so?
By this
The World has more restrictions
And the people are poorer
The people have sharper weapons
And the home country is more confused
Men are more clever and cunning
The more deceitful things have become
The more laws and rules are prominent
The more robbers and thieves you have
So the Sage says
I do nothing 
And the people change themselves
I tend toward quiet 
And the people right themselves
I do not work 
And the people enrich themselves
I desire nothing 
And the people simple themselves
